Program Provides Emergency Bill-Payment Assistance for Local Residents

Entergy Arkansas employees were among the community volunteers who provided support for LIHEAP Crisis Days at Mosaic Church in Little Rock. Launched in February, the events were organized by Central Arkansas Development Council to connect local residents with emergency bill-payment assistance during winter months.

LIHEAP is the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, a federal program that provides funds to help qualifying citizens pay their energy bills. Entergy Arkansas volunteers helped residents sign up for LIHEAP by verifying account status and other details regarding their utilities.

CADC serves 19 counties in Arkansas: Calhoun, Clark, Columbia, Dallas, Hempstead, Hot Spring, Howard, Lafayette, Little River, Lonoke, Miller, Montgomery, Nevada, Ouachita, Pike, Pulaski, Saline, Sevier and Union.
