Entergy Arkansas Continues Partnership with Firefighters Local 34

For the third year running, Entergy Arkansas partnered with Little Rock firefighters to provide new winter coats to every student at a Little Rock elementary school as part of Operation Warm. In December 2017 volunteers distributed coats at Booker Arts Magnet Elementary during an assembly in the school gym.

“We choose the school for this program based on the percentage of children receiving free and reduced lunches,” said Joe Cuffel, vice president of International Association of Fire Fighters Local 34. “Hopefully, this will give these families one less thing to worry about during the holiday season.”

IAFF Local 34 coordinates with Operation Warm to bring the coat distribution program to Little Rock and receives financial donations from Entergy Arkansas to keep the program going from year to year.

Operation Warm is a national non-profit dedicated to providing hope, happiness and warmth for children in need through the gift of new winter coats. Firefighting organizations sponsor the program in communities across the U.S. and Canada.
