Sheriff’s Office Will Use $1,000 Grant to Purchase Bulletproof Vests

A $1,000 grant provided by Entergy Louisiana will help the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office purchase new bulletproof vests.

“Bulletproof vests have a five-year shelf life; therefore, donations such as this one allow us to purchase new vests to assure our deputies are safe and protected. We are truly appreciative to Entergy for this contribution,” said Plaquemines Parish Sheriff Gerald A. Turlich Jr.

“Entergy Louisiana takes pride in partnering with local law enforcement agencies to enhance the safety in our communities,” said Mary Fay Legnon, a customer service manager for Entergy Louisiana.
